How to use the Media Hub
Combine Video, Gifs, and Images and text, all in one post!
MAKE A POST
To start a new post, simply click on the box that reads "Create a New Post". Enter in your title.
Notice the three icons below the title.
The first icon is the Media Hub, where you can upload images, videos, and GIFs to add to slides in your posts. .
The second icon is the Text Editor. You can use this tool to add text in your slideshow.
The third icon is the Line Tool, leave that alone for now (it's glitchy).
UPLOAD MEDIA
The Media Hub has four ways to upload media. The Media tab will show all of your content. You can upload images from the desktop by clicking to the right where it says "Upload".
The Camera tab will let you include images from the photo booth.
The Embed tab will let you place a video or image directly into the slide.
The Fetch tab is useful when dropping in images using the url.
ADD VIDEO TO SLIDE
Posts can now include video and image files in the same presentation.
From the Media Hub, simply click the “Upload Media” button to load a .mp4 or movie file. Once it is successfully uploaded, you can play it directly from your slide.
ADD IMAGE TO SLIDE
After selecting an image (pink border will show around the image), you can place the selected item(s) to a single slide or multiple slides.
Once it is on the slide, you can freely scale the image by selecting any corner.
Right click on the image to reveal other options.
Click on the bottom of the slide to include a caption in the "Add Caption" box.
ADD MULTIPLE IMAGES TO SINGLE SLIDE
You can select several images to be placed into a single slide, allowing you to display relevant precedents collectively.
When you have more than three images selected on the slide, a new alignment menu will appear at the top. This will sort the images to align along the same edge.
Clicking on the corner of the image will allow you to scale the image. The background grid is useful for referencing and spacing.
You can group select images on the slide so that they can move together without changing the spacing or alignment.
TEXT EDITOR
Clicking on the Text Editor icon will drop a default text box onto your slide.
Double click the box to edit text.
Select the text to open up a text editor menu. Using these options you can easily resize, format, style and align based on your needs.
CREATE SLIDE FROM TEMPLATE
Once you’ve started a post and added your first slide, you will see an option to create slides from different templates.
Locate the thumbnail icon at the bottom left of the slideshow window. When you click on Add Slide From Template, you should see different options to choose from. Type into the text box to replace with your own. Drop in images into the gray boxes by simply clicking on Upload Image.
